What "no sign-up" actually means

Second, memory is less consistent until you create a profile. If continuity is the thing you care about, guest mode isn't where you'll find it.

HoneyChat: browser or Telegram, 20 messages a day

HoneyChat runs in the browser or as a Telegram bot, so there's nothing to install. The free allowance is 20 messages a day, one photo and one voice note. It advertises long-term memory and five content levels up to 18+. Paid plans run from $4.99 to $39.99 monthly, paid via Telegram Stars or crypto.

On privacy, HoneyChat's own FAQ is more honest than its homepage: chats are not end-to-end encrypted and are stored on its servers. Believe the FAQ.

Perchance: the browser-local oddity

Perchance is a community-made generator with no login and reportedly no cost. Its chats are reportedly kept in your browser's local storage, which cuts both ways: clearing your data wipes them, and there's no cloud backup. Memory is manual — you edit it yourself — and the developer has called the memory editing buggy. Filters are light, so adults only, and long roleplays will get confused when the memory slips.

Couple.me: unclear

Couple.me shows both "Join Free" and "Login" on its front page. Whether chat works without a profile, what the guest limits are and which features are paid are all unstated. We can't recommend what we can't pin down.

Persistent memory needs somewhere to live: a server profile or your own device. That's why guest modes feel shallow after a day. A quick test: share one specific detail, reload the page, and see whether she brings it up. If she doesn't, the site isn't storing it, and no amount of charming conversation will fix that.
