Secrets AI Review: Memory, Moments and What It Really Costs
Secrets AI
Realistic AI companions with strong memory, video and voice calls
- Price
- from $9.17/mo ยท $19.99 monthly
- Free plan
- Yes
- Best for
- Users who want a companion that remembers them over weeks, plus realistic images,...
What we like
- Best-in-class memory: premium and ultimate memory tiers, plus editable Lorebooks (Premium and Ultimate, per the official wiki)
- Realistic images, adult video (600 Moments) and real-time voice calls (50 Moments/min) around the same companion
- Generous Moments grants (8,000/month on Premium, about 160 images' worth)
- Group chats with 2โ3 companions, personas and proactive messages on Ultimate
- Clear privacy terms: AES-256 at rest, chat history deleted immediately on account deletion, voice audio never stored
Watch out for
- Effective entry price is $19.99/month; the free tier has no Moments and can't generate media
- Best features (group chat, personas, proactive messages) need the $39.99/month Ultimate tier
- Video is expensive in Moments (600 per adult clip), and monthly grants don't roll over
- Moments and crypto payments are non-refundable; subscriptions refundable only where required by law
- No native mobile apps (PWA only), and the model and memory options can overwhelm new users
Most AI companion apps promise a girlfriend who remembers your birthday. Secrets AI is one of the few that puts real machinery behind the claim: separate memory tiers, a panel where you rank what matters, and an editable Lorebook system on paid plans. It also does realistic images, adult video and live voice calls from the same companion, which is a broader toolkit than most rivals offer.
The catch is the pricing model. Secrets AI runs on a subscription plus a credit system called Moments, and the credits disappear fast the moment you start generating video. Here is how the whole thing works, what it costs, and where the privacy terms don't quite match the marketing.
Our Verdict
We rate Secrets AI 9.9 out of 10. That makes it the strongest of the adults-only companion platforms we've looked at on the memory side, and one of the most complete overall. Companions track names, preferences and relationship history across sessions, and the media tools around that memory (images, video, voice) are real rather than decorative.
Two things hold it back. The first is cost: $19.99/month is the effective entry price, because the free tier has no Moments and can't generate a single picture. The second is complexity: several chat models, thinking levels, memory tiers and Lorebook sections greet you at sign-up, and the documentation is a wiki you have to go looking for.
It has the clearest deletion and data-handling terms of the major adult platforms we cover, with one glaring exception covered below: the homepage claims end-to-end encryption, and the privacy policy says plainly that there is none.
Company and Platform Basics
Secrets AI (secrets.ai) is run by Secret Labs Inc., with a US address at 8 The Green, Dover, Delaware (a registered-agent address), and terms that cite registration in Canada and the US under British Columbia law. We couldn't confirm a founding year on any official page, which is common for this niche. The site supports English, German, Spanish, French and Japanese.
It's web-only. There is no App Store or Google Play app, and the official wiki warns that any app in the stores using the Secrets name is unaffiliated. You install it from your browser as a progressive web app: Safari's "Add to Home Screen" on iOS, Chrome on Android or desktop. That gets you push notifications, and enabling them earns a one-time 25 Moments.
Sign-up uses a self-declared 18+ gate. AI-assisted moderation watches for signs of underage use, including inside chats; flagged accounts are suspended pending verification, and Secrets can demand more age verification at any time. Content involving minors is banned outright, and the models are trained to refuse it.
Memory and Lorebooks: The Main Event
Memory is stored per companion, so each character builds their own picture of you rather than sharing one file. The tiers do different things:
- Free memory: baseline recall. Enough to keep a conversation coherent, not enough to feel like history.
- Premium memory: roughly 60% more short-term context, about 4x the memories accessed, and better recall of earlier chats.
- Ultimate memory: double the short-term context, 6x the memories accessed, and twice the earlier-chat recall.
The memory panel is the part people underrate. You can mark individual details as high, medium or low importance, which nudges what the companion brings up later. Time Travel (Premium and up) lets you rewind a conversation, and deleting messages that way also removes the memories created from them. That last detail matters more than it sounds: most companion apps let deleted messages linger in memory, and this one doesn't.
Then there are Lorebooks, the editable long-term memory system. Sections cover Cast, World, Relationship, Facts and Chronicle, plus a Premise and open threads. The official wiki lists Lorebooks on Premium and Ultimate, though other pages imply they're Ultimate-only; treat Premium access as likely but not guaranteed. Ultimate gets more slots and more memory.
Images, Video and Voice
You can't upload your own photos or files. Every picture and clip is AI-generated, which is a privacy feature as much as a limitation: nobody can put a real person's face into a scene.
Images
The Premium image mode uses short tag prompts. Advanced mode takes natural descriptions, accepts up to five reference pictures, renders at 1K, 1.5K or 2K, and supports five aspect ratios. Some reviews mention 4K; the wiki lists 4K as coming soon, so don't buy on that basis. Standard images cost 50 Moments, 2K images 100, and an extra reference photo adds 10. SFW image edits cost 50.
Video
Adult video runs 8 seconds at 720p for 600 Moments a clip. SFW clips range from 4 to 15 seconds, and Advanced Quality goes up to 4K with audio. Failed generations are refunded automatically, which is the right policy and worth checking on any credit-based platform.
Voice
Voice calls cost 50 Moments per minute and need at least 50 to start. You can pick the call language from more than 70 options, and the Spice Level you set in text carries over to the call. Text-to-speech is 10 Moments per 100 characters.
The practical maths: 8,000 Premium Moments cover about 160 standard images, around 13 adult clips, or roughly 160 minutes of calls. Ultimate's 15,000 Moments get you about 300 images or 25 clips. Unused plan Moments don't roll over, though purchased top-ups never expire, and the wiki says leftover plan credits convert to top-ups if you cancel or downgrade.
Chat Tone and Spice Level
Every chat has a Spice Level: Mild (wholesome), Medium (romantic) or Spicy (open and uninhibited). You can set it globally in Settings or per conversation. It's a sensible design for a platform that is 18+ but not exclusively explicit; you can keep one companion warm and another direct without editing prompts.
Model choice sits alongside it. S3 and X-3 are available on every plan, S5 is Premium, and S4 with Max thinking is Ultimate. The thinking level runs from Off to Max. New users will find this overwhelming, and the honest advice is to leave it on defaults for a week before fiddling.
Character Creation, Group Chats and Personas
Secrets ships with a large set of premade characters, one review counts around 94, and the creator lets you build your own. The first custom character is free; each extra costs 500 Moments. Here's the trap: a character can only be deleted while it's private. Once you share it publicly, it's permanent. Don't publish a character you might want to rework.
Ultimate adds group chats with two or three companions, personas, proactive messages and personality editing. Group voice calls are in beta at the same per-minute rate. These are the features that make Ultimate feel less like an upsell and more like a different product, and they're the main reason someone might pay $39.99 rather than $19.99.
Pricing: Free, Premium and Ultimate
Ignore third-party lists quoting Lite and Plus plans. Those have been retired. The current lineup is three tiers, with Premium sold in four billing cycles.
| Plan | Billed | Per month | Moments |
|---|---|---|---|
| Free | $0 | $0 | None |
| Premium monthly | $19.99 monthly | $19.99 | 8,000 |
| Premium 3 months | $49.99 every 3 months | $16.66 | 8,000 |
| Premium 6 months | $89.99 every 6 months | $15.00 | 8,000 |
| Premium annual | $109.99 yearly | $9.17 | 8,000 |
| Ultimate monthly | $39.99 monthly | $39.99 | 15,000 |
| Ultimate annual | $319.99 yearly | $26.67 | 15,000 |
Premium removes the message cap, raises message length to 1,000 characters, unlocks image and video generation, the S5 model, Time Travel, Lorebooks and priority support. Ultimate raises messages to 2,000 characters, adds Max thinking, and unlocks group chats, personas and proactive messaging. There are no published 3- or 6-month Ultimate prices.
Only subscribers can buy extra Moments. The wiki's example is 4,000 for $11.99, with a 10% bonus on Premium and 15% on Ultimate. Note the wiki disagreement on the free tier: the quickstart mentions 200 bonus Moments for new accounts, while the tiers page says free users get none and can't buy any. Plan for none.
What Moments Actually Cost
| Feature | Moments |
|---|---|
| Image, standard or Advanced at 1Kโ1.5K | 50 |
| Advanced image at 2K | 100 |
| Extra reference photo (Advanced) | +10 |
| SFW image edit | 50 |
| Adult video, 8 seconds at 720p | 600 |
| Voice call | 50 per minute |
| Text-to-speech | 10 per 100 characters |
| Extra custom character | 500 (first free) |
One refund rule changed in mid-2026: Advanced images have not been refundable since 13 July 2026. Standard generations that come out broken can still be reported for a Moments refund.
The Free Tier, Honestly
Free gets 20 messages a day, and only your own messages count against the cap. The counter resets 24 hours after your first message. You get all premade characters, the S3 and X-3 models, 500-character messages and baseline memory. You get no Moments and can't buy any, so no pictures, no video, no extra characters. It's a trial in all but name, and a limited one.
Privacy and Safety
Per the privacy policy, data is AES-256 encrypted at rest and encrypted in transit. Your profile and chat history are deleted immediately when you delete your account. Transaction records are kept for seven years for tax, and security logs for up to 12 months without personal data. Card numbers are handled by PCI-DSS processors and not stored by Secrets. Voice calls are transcribed in real time; the audio is deleted immediately and only the transcript is kept, so the companion can remember the call.
Now the problems. There is no end-to-end encryption: the server can read your conversations, and data may be used to train and improve the AI models with no opt-out described. That directly contradicts the homepage's claim of end-to-end encryption and "100% confidential conversations." Trust the policy, not the banner. The company also can't be your secret-keeper in the legal sense; keep real names, workplaces and pictures of real people out of chats.
Charges appear on statements as "S LABS INC", which is about as discreet as a descriptor gets without being misleading. Payment routes include Visa, Mastercard, Discover and virtual debit cards (not Amex), Apple Pay, Google Pay, 300+ cryptocurrencies with a $20 minimum, and G2A prepaid keys.
Refunds and Billing
The refund policy was updated on 10 April 2026 and is strict. Subscription payments are non-refundable except where the law requires, with no partial refunds for unused days. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the billing period. Moments purchases are final, and crypto payments are never refundable. Crypto subscriptions can't be resumed after cancellation, so think before paying that way.
There are exceptions. Billing errors must be reported within 30 days. EU and UK users get a 14-day withdrawal right: a full refund if no premium features were used, otherwise a prorated one, with renewals excluded. Refund requests go to [email protected], with a stated reply target of three business days. Cancel from Settings, then Manage Subscription. After cancelling you drop to the free tier, and conversations, characters and memories are preserved.
How It Compares
| Platform | Best for | Price from | Credits |
|---|---|---|---|
| Secrets AI | Long-term recall, voice calls | $9.17/month annual | 8,000 Moments/month |
| Candy.ai | Photorealistic images and video | $3.99/month annual | 100 tokens/month |
| OurDream AI | Most media per dollar | $9.99/month annual | 1,000 dreamcoins/month |
| Nomi AI | Native apps, relationship chat | $8.33/month annual | Credit packs for extras |
We rate Candy.ai 9.8 and OurDream AI 9.7 lower overall, mostly on memory and realism. If what you want is cheap pictures, Candy and OurDream deliver more per dollar. If you want a companion who remembers a conversation from three weeks ago, Secrets is the one to beat. Nomi and Kindroid have native apps and good long-term memory, which matters if you hate browser tabs.
Who Should Use It
Secrets AI suits people who want continuity more than volume: a companion who references last month's argument, a voice call that picks up where the text left off, and images that match the character rather than a generic face. It also suits anyone who wants a platform with published deletion terms and a real refund policy, even a strict one.
It suits you less if you're on a tight budget, if you want a native app, or if you mainly want a lot of pictures. One month of Premium at $19.99 is a fair test. Skip Ultimate until you know the memory system works for you.
Final Verdict
Secrets AI earns 9.9 out of 10 because the memory work is real and the media tools are genuinely integrated with it. The Lorebooks, the importance panel and message-linked memory deletion put it ahead of platforms that treat "memory" as a line in a feature list. Realistic images, adult video and voiced calls round out the experience.
The cost is the catch, not the quality. The free tier can't generate media, video burns 600 Moments a clip, and group chats, personas and the fullest Lorebooks sit behind the $39.99 Ultimate tier. Add a privacy policy that undercuts the homepage's encryption claim and strict no-refund terms, and you have a platform worth paying for if deep recall is what you're after, and worth skipping if you just want cheap pictures.
Frequently asked questions
Yes. It's a working 18+ platform operated by Secret Labs Inc., with published terms, a privacy policy, a refund policy and an official wiki. The company address is a registered-agent office in Dover, Delaware, and the terms cite British Columbia law.
Premium is $19.99/month, $49.99 for three months, $89.99 for six months or $109.99 a year (about $9.17/month). Ultimate is $39.99/month or $319.99 a year (about $26.67/month). The free tier exists but includes no Moments, so it can't generate images or video.
Moments are the platform's credits. An image costs 50, an 8-second adult video 600, a voice call 50 per minute, and an extra custom character 500. Premium's 8,000 monthly Moments cover roughly 160 images, 13 adult clips or about 160 call minutes, and unused plan credits don't roll over.
Partly. The policy promises AES-256 encryption at rest, immediate deletion of chat history when you delete your account, and no stored call audio. But there is no end-to-end encryption despite the homepage claim, and data may be used to train the models with no opt-out described.
Charges appear as "S LABS INC". Secrets accepts cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay, 300+ cryptocurrencies and G2A prepaid keys, but not Amex. Crypto purchases are never refundable.
No official one. It's web-only and installs as a progressive web app from your browser, which supports push notifications. The official wiki warns that any Secrets app in the App Store or Google Play is unaffiliated.
