AI Girlfriend Generator: Build a Face, Then Build a Person

BlogAI Girlfriend Generator: Build a Face, Then Build a Person

A generator gives you a face. A companion app gives you someone who remembers your name. Here's how the two halves fit together, and what each one costs.

There are two jobs bundled under the phrase "AI girlfriend generator," and most people only realise they're separate after paying for the wrong one. Job one is the picture: a face, a style, a body, a look. Job two is the person: a name, a personality, a memory that survives past Tuesday. Plenty of tools do the first for free. Almost none do the second without a card.

This guide is for adults designing a fictional companion. It covers the nine tools we've looked at, what each actually produces, and where the credit maths bites. No tool paid for a mention. Prices come from the vendors' own pages; user reports are labelled as such.

Quick picks, by what you're actually after

If you want one line: find the face free, then build the character where memory lives.

What a generator actually gives you

A free web generator hands you a single picture. That's it. There's no personality attached, no memory, no reply when you type something back. If you want the face to stay consistent and the character to recall what you told her last week, you need a companion app underneath.

The paid tiers are what add images in bulk, video, voice and any real memory. That's the honest dividing line: picture tools are cheap and shallow, companion apps are deeper and metered.

The companion apps, briefly

Candy.ai: the realism pick

Candy.ai's character builder is the most detailed of the three we'd point you to first. It covers ethnicity, age, body, hair, personality, voice and hobbies, and the output style is either realistic or anime. We rate Candy.ai 9.8 out of 10.

The free tier gives you one character and one image, which is enough to see whether the builder suits you. Paid is $13.99 a month, or $3.99 a month billed yearly, and includes 100 tokens monthly for images, voice and video. A custom character costs about 10 tokens. User reports put images at 2โ€“4 tokens each, so that 100 doesn't stretch as far as it sounds. Our full Candy.ai review has the token breakdown in detail.

OurDream AI: the volume pick

OurDream AI is the one to choose if you want a lot of pictures on a budget. We rate OurDream AI 9.7 out of 10. Premium is $19.99 monthly or $9.99 monthly billed yearly, includes unlimited chat, and comes with 1,000 dreamcoins a month โ€” roughly 200 images, at 5 coins per in-chat image.

Free accounts are where the confusion lives. OurDream's own pricing page says free accounts spend coins on chat and get no images; a 2026 roundup claims 55 free coins without a card. Those two don't reconcile, so treat "free images" as unconfirmed until you've seen it yourself. Our OurDream AI review covers the Dreamcoin system properly.

Secrets AI: the memory pick

Secrets AI is for people who care more about a companion who remembers than about a gallery. We rate Secrets AI 9.9 out of 10. The first custom character is free; extras cost 500 Moments. Premium is $19.99 monthly or $9.17 monthly billed yearly and includes 8,000 Moments, with images at 50 Moments each.

The catch: the free tier is 20 messages a day and cannot generate images at all. So the free plan is a chat trial, not a picture trial.

The rest, in one paragraph

DreamGF has a decent appearance builder but the pricing is aggressive โ€” $25.99 a month for 100 tokens, at 20 tokens per companion and 10 per image, and the annual plan reportedly jumps from $69.99 to $311.88 on renewal. Promptchan Plus is $14.99 a month paid in gems, picture-first with little memory. SoulGen is $12.99 a month for 100 credits at one credit per image, and has no chat, voice or personality at all. Nectar AI starts from $9.99 monthly, with reviewers reporting 15 free messages and 10 generations daily โ€” but credits reportedly reach $60โ€“75 a month at moderate use.

Free picture tools that skip the sign-up

If all you want is a face to work from, these cost nothing and ask for little.

  • Perchance โ€” writes a persona and a portrait, no daily limit, no sign-up. It can't take a reference image, though, so getting the same face twice is hard.
  • FluxAI.art โ€” the vendor says free high-resolution downloads without an account, with 3D and fantasy styles on top of the usual.
  • Facewow โ€” the vendor claims free generation, no account, and watermark-free high-res downloads.
  • Overchat โ€” the vendor claims an image in two clicks.

All four are single-picture tools. No memory, no personality, no follow-up conversation.

Free tier versus paid: the real comparison

Subscriptions are the headline. Credits are the actual price. A $9.99 plan that burns through its allowance in a week costs more than a $19.99 plan that doesn't.

ToolPriceCredits/tokensUnit costs
Candy.ai$13.99/mo or $3.99/mo yearly100 tokens monthly~10 tokens per character; 2โ€“4 per image
OurDream AI$19.99/mo or $9.99/mo yearly1,000 dreamcoins monthly5 coins per in-chat image; ~200 images
Secrets AI$19.99/mo or $9.17/mo yearly8,000 Moments50 Moments per image; 500 per extra character

On free tiers specifically: Candy gives one image, Secrets AI gives none, and OurDream gives none according to its pricing page. If you want to test picture generation before paying, the free web tools are the honest route.

Realistic or anime: which style fits

Candy.ai and OurDream are the strongest of the group for lifelike portraits. OurDream, Secrets AI and Candy all offer an anime style too. Facewow and FluxAI.art list watercolour, line art and pixel art, and both let you upload a photo to convert into a stylised character.

If you upload a photo, upload one you own the rights to. Not a friend, not a stranger, not a celebrity.

Five steps to build one

  1. Find the face first, free. Try Perchance for a persona sketch, or FluxAI.art and Facewow for a single high-res portrait. Keep the prompt that worked.
  2. Write the personality before the app. Age, background, tone, what she does for a living, two quirks. Adult, always.
  3. Pick the app by what you'll use most. Realism points to Candy, image volume to OurDream, memory to Secrets AI.
  4. Check the credit cost of your habit. Ten images a day is a very different bill from ten a month.
  5. Read the privacy policy. What's stored, what's encrypted, what's shared. Then decide.

Prompt tips that actually help

Be specific about the boring parts: age (adult), hair length and colour, eye colour, lighting, framing, expression. "Woman, 28, dark bob, grey eyes, window light, neutral expression, shoulders up" beats "beautiful girl" every time. Style words carry weight too โ€” line art and pixel art read very differently from photo-real. And keep the same prompt saved; it's the only way to get near the same face again on tools that can't take a reference image.

Privacy and likeness: the part people skip

Do not generate a real person's face in adult content. The US Take It Down Act, passed in May 2025, criminalises non-consensual intimate images including AI deepfakes, and requires platforms to remove such images on request. That's a federal matter, not a terms-of-service slap.

On encryption: Secrets AI promises AES-256 at rest. OurDream's end-to-end claim isn't backed by its own privacy policy, which is worth knowing before you type anything sensitive. Facewow and CherryBae both say user control and discretion are prioritised โ€” vendor language, not an audit.

Commercial use is murkier. Rights vary by tool and the sources we've seen don't confirm commercial rights on the companion apps. Assume personal use unless you've read otherwise on the plan you're buying.

Who should pick which

  • You want a believable face and a conversation: Candy.ai. Best realism, clearest builder.
  • You want a lot of images for the money: OurDream AI. 1,000 dreamcoins goes further than most.
  • You want her to remember you: Secrets AI. Memory first, pictures second.
  • You want to try before any card: Perchance, FluxAI.art or Facewow.
  • You want video: Promptchan, though it's picture-first and light on memory.

One last thing: treat the landing-page images as marketing. They show the best possible output, not the average one. Our guide to free AI girlfriend tiers covers what you get before you pay, and the reviews hub has every app we've scored.

Frequently asked questions

For pictures, yes. FluxAI.art, Facewow and Perchance all advertise free use, and Perchance doesn't even need a sign-up. Free chat companion tiers exist but are small โ€” Candy.ai gives one character and one image, Secrets AI gives 20 messages a day, and OurDream's pricing page says free accounts get chat but no images.

A generator makes the look: a face, a style, a single image. A companion app adds the personality, memory, chat and often voice on top. Most people want both, and the cheapest route is a free picture tool for the face plus a companion app for the character.

No. Putting a real person's face into adult content without consent can be illegal โ€” the US Take It Down Act (May 2025) criminalises non-consensual intimate images including AI deepfakes. Build a fictional adult instead, and only upload photos you own the rights to.

It depends on the tool. Facewow and FluxAI.art say their downloads are watermark-free, while SoulGen reportedly removes watermarks only on paid plans. Check before you download if the image matters to you.
