OurDream AI and Secrets AI land on the same monthly price, $19.99, and both advertise unlimited messaging. That is where the similarity mostly ends. OurDream AI (run by Dream Studio USA, Inc., a Delaware company) markets itself as unlimited AI roleplay and pushes a very large character library plus generous image and video generation. Secrets AI (Secret Labs Inc.) puts its weight behind memory tiers, live voice calls and a relationship that is supposed to hold together over months.

We rate Secrets AI 9.9 out of 10 and OurDream AI 9.7 out of 10. The gap is small, and it comes almost entirely from two categories: memory and privacy. This comparison is for adults 18+ only.

If you want a companion who remembers what you told them last month, Secrets AI is the better bet. Its memory is tiered, editable and reinforced by voice calls, and its privacy terms are clearer. If you want a character studio — build someone specific, generate a lot of pictures and short clips for your credits — OurDream AI gives you more media per dollar and a deeper builder.

Neither is a bargain in the abstract. Both are $19.99 a month at entry, and both have credit systems that punish heavy media use in ways the marketing pages do not spell out.

Memory and continuity

This is the clearest split. Secrets AI treats memory as a product feature with tiers. Its own wiki says free users get basic recall, Premium gets roughly 60% more short-term context and four times the stored memories, and Ultimate doubles context again with six times the memories. There is a memory panel where you can rank, correct and remove details, and Lorebooks on Premium and Ultimate for facts you want kept. Time Travel lets you branch a conversation, though deleted messages take linked memories with them.

Independent voices are mixed. One 2026 review describes Secrets memory as functional rather than deeply comprehensive, and one blog calls it shallow and inconsistent. Our read: it is the stronger of the two, but not magic, and the tiering is real.

OurDream AI is the opposite story. A blog claims it knows users well after three months, but independent tests say it leans on recent messages and older plot points slip. The builder lets you write a backstory and opening scenario, which helps, but the platform does not offer the memory editing tools Secrets does. Image and video generation

OurDream AI wins on images, narrowly, and it wins on volume. An in-chat image costs 5 dreamcoins; standard generation runs 10 coins per two. The 1,000 coins included with Premium cover roughly 200 images. Quality has been compared to Candy.ai, with the Vivid model producing photo-like results. Video costs 100 dreamcoins per 5 seconds, up to 60 seconds, with Ultra at 200 coins and audio at 20 coins per second. In practice, 1,000 coins buys about 10 short clips.

Secrets AI charges 50 Moments per image, or 100 at 2K resolution. That stretches 8,000 Moments to roughly 160 pictures. Adult video is 8 seconds at 720p for 600 Moments; SFW clips run 4 to 15 seconds up to 4K at variable prices. So 8,000 Moments gets you about 13 adult clips. Advanced image mode accepts natural descriptions and up to five reference pictures, which is genuinely useful for consistency.

Neither platform lets you upload your own photos. On both, video means generated clips, not video calls.

Voice calls

Both charge 50 credits a minute for voice calls, which is where casual users get burned. A 20-minute call uses the entire month of OurDream coins. Secrets AI is clearly the better call platform: calls happen in real time in the same chat thread, more than 70 languages are supported, and calls feed memory alongside text chat. Only the transcript is stored; the audio is deleted.

OurDream AI offers premium-voice narration at 5 coins per paragraph, and its data notes do not state how voice data is handled. That silence is a privacy gap, not a scandal, but it matters if you plan to talk a lot.

Character builder

OurDream AI gives you more dials. Creating a chatbot costs 10 coins, and the builder sets personality, backstory, traits, appearance, outfits, voice and an opening scenario. Customization is its strongest category after images, and group chats are available — tap a portrait or @-mention someone to choose who replies. Annoyingly, the help centre does not say which plan includes group chats.

Secrets AI covers looks, gender, name, age, voice, traits and backstory. The first custom character is free; extras cost 500 Moments. Editing a character's personality later is an Ultimate feature, which is a sharp limit for a platform that sells continuity. Per-chat Spice Level runs from Mild to Spicy, and response styles switch between short texts and full paragraphs. Group chats with two or three companions, personas and proactive messages are all locked to Ultimate at $39.99 a month.

Pricing and credits

The headline numbers match: $19.99 a month for unlimited messages, 1,000 dreamcoins on OurDream AI versus 8,000 Moments on Secrets AI. The annual plans diverge slightly — $119.88 a year on OurDream ($9.99/mo) with 1,000 bonus coins upfront, versus $109.99 a year on Secrets ($9.17/mo). Secrets publishes 3-month ($49.99) and 6-month ($89.99) plans; OurDream does not publish those terms. Third parties report a Deluxe tier on OurDream, but it is not on official pages, so treat it as unconfirmed.

Credit rules differ in ways that affect long-term use. OurDream coins do not expire. Secrets monthly Moments reset each cycle, though purchased top-ups never expire. On both, only subscribers can buy extra credits. Free users on OurDream are blocked from images, video and coin purchases; free users on Secrets cannot generate media at all, so $19.99 is the real entry price if you want pictures. Privacy and safety

Secrets AI is more transparent, and it is not close. Both ban content involving minors and allow explicit content between fictional adults; OurDream uses an LLM moderation filter called Automod, Secrets uses AI-assisted moderation.

Both homepages claim end-to-end encryption. Neither policy supports that: the encryption described is at rest and in transit, which is not the same thing. Both may use chat data to train models. Secrets gets the edge because deletion is immediate, voice audio is discarded, and the billing descriptor is disclosed.

Pick OurDream AI if you want a cast of characters, a detailed builder, and a lot of images and clips for your credits. It is the better studio and the better deal on media volume. Accept that continuity is thinner and that cancelling blurs your generated media.

Either way, start with one month. Track your credits for the first week, keep real personal details out of chats, and read the refund terms before you buy crypto or annual plans.

This is a memory-versus-media trade-off at an identical monthly price. Secrets AI is the stronger product for a long-running relationship, live voice and clearer privacy terms. OurDream AI is the stronger studio for character creation and image or video volume per dollar.
